LMVSC Announces the Patriots Developmental Academy

U8 Developmental Academy introduces new year-round individualized training to include tournament play and winter sessions.

Alexandria, Virginia - July 2017

LMVSC announces a newly improved Developmental Training Academy for rising U8 Players - all players with a birth year of 2010. This program will involve an increased training schedule to include fall, winter and spring seasons. It will also include participation in two local tournaments, Saturday games in the Washington Area Crossing over League during fall and spring seasons, and individualized team training sessions. This program will be run by our Director of Recreation & Player Development, Justin O'Shell.

As stated by our Director of Recreation & Player Development, Justin O'Shell, he said, "These are exciting times at Lee Mt. Vernon Sports Club, and we could not be more thrilled about what the future holds for our players! This is the next step in continuing the success that our players are having at LMVSC in the elite level. In order to continue the this success, it is imperative that we, as a club, take this step to provide technical and fundamental initiatives with a program such as the Patriots Developmental Academy."

Teams will be formed the week prior to the beginning of Fall Season based on the current player's ability and this program will be solely structured on the individual development of a player in a team setting. The director will reserve the right to move players to different teams based on their developmental progression throughout the entire year. Players will receive individualized team training of twice a week for one hour each in the fall and spring seasons and one training session a week for one hour each in the winter season. The total cost for the Academy will be $600, paid in full, or paid in 4 Automatic Recurring Billing (ARB) installments of $150 for your convenience. The cost will cover the 10-month training sessions, tournament fees and referee game fees. Ultimately, the Patriots Developmental Academy is designed to develop and prepare players for the next stage - U9 Travel Soccer.
