Please view the CLUB'S CALENDAR for the date of the coach’s meeting and allow 5-6 days after it for your coach to contact you.
(11) HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT TEAM MY CHILD IS ON?
LMVSC Player Directors are often working until the day of the coaches meeting to form teams. Your child’s coach will contact you after he or she is given the team roster at the coaches’ meeting.

Please refer to the home page of the website - calendar is located on the right hand side. You may also click here: http://lmvsc.org/club-calendar
(13) HOW MANY PRACTICES IS MY CHILD EXPECTED TO ATTEND?
- Mini Dribblers, will participate in age specific training sessions on Saturday mornings.
- All other grades will practice two days a week until the games begin January 6th, 2018.
Once the games begin, teams will practice one day a week and will have one game on the weekend.
(14) WILL I BE GARAUNTEED DAY(S) AND TIMES FOR MY CHILD’S PRACTICE?
LMVSC’s coaches are volunteers. Your child’s coach will determine what day and time works best for their work schedule. We do not guarantee days and times for your child’s practices.
(15) WHEN WILL I KNOW ABOUT PRACTICE SCHEDULE TIME AND PLACE?
Unfortunately, we have no way to determine practice days and times for a particular team until after the coach’s meeting on Monday, December 4th, 2017. Coaches select practice locations and times at the same time as they get their rosters. Fairfax County allocates a limited number of practice gyms to LMVSC teams, generally in late October. Although we form teams based on school locations, we don’t necessarily receive every school gym for practice. Our volunteer coaches usually sign up for the closest gym available that meets with their personal work schedules, based on the list of available locations they receive at the Coach’s meeting. Please know that we try very hard to make it as convenient to parents as we possibly can by matching players with a coach who is located in the same area.
(16) WHAT EQUIPMENT DOES MY CHILD NEED TO PLAY BASKETBALL?
- Uniform - the league provides a jersey, The jersey must be returned at the end of the season.
- Non black bottom tennis shoes
- Basketball
(17) WHEN ARE GAMES USUALLY PLAYED?
Games are usually played on Saturday.
(18) WILL THERE EVER BE GAMES SCHEDULED ON SUNDAYS?
There typically will be games scheduled on Sunday if your child's age group division has an odd number of teams. Based on gym allocations received from the County and the number of teams to schedule, your child’s team may play on one or two Sundays. Also, if games are cancelled due to inclement weather, LMVSC may re-schedule games on Sunday.
(19) HOW DO I KNOW IF A GAME IS CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER?
If any games are cancelled, your coach will contact you. If your coach hasn’t contaced you, you should call the LMVSC hotline... 703-799-1112, or check the LMVSC Homepage for Field/Gym Closures.
(20) HOW DO I GET A REFUND?
Refunds are provided only if your child could not be placed on a team. If your child is injured or is suffering from a long-term illness prior to the beginning of the season, please contact LMVSC's Executive Director, Lula Bauer, at director@lmvsc.org for any questions regarding refunds.
